bunnies on the brain

I love rabbits, despite being pretty allergic to them. I did have rabbits for a brief time as a child, but we moved and had to give them away.

So what have I been up to lately? Experimenting of course! 

I've been trying different fabrics for my Darling Bunny doll. I've been using cotton and high quality muslin for the longest time, and felt that branching out would be nice.

So I tried some new fabrics. The white one is made from velour, the lavender from minky. 

Both are very soft, but at the same time they're very slippery to work with. I like the look of the velour a little bit more than the minky.

Next time, I'm going to make some with a mixture of cotton and velour. I love making these guys!

Based off a dream I had once. All the pages went flying. They were so important.

Is it really september?

Time flies when you're having fun. I've been making quite a few dolls, working of freelance projects, and coming up with different patterns.

Most recent pattern that I've made up is based off of Japanese Bunka or 'culture' dolls. They're quite addicting to make!
